Now I have a column in the house! I extended my old living room pulling down a wall, and I removed the two gates to the original two rooms. 
We were dealing with a bearing wall, so we had to put a pilasters that supported it all ... and the pilasters has turned into a nice column! Obviously I have a tremendous desire to paint! I do not know when I find the time ... but while I do some sketches to figure out what I want! :) 
place a couple of tests done as usual with inkscape.
